VizSurge offers a browser extension (available for Chrome and Edge, with Firefox planned) that lets you start a VizSurge watch party directly from YouTube — and, via its toolbar option, from any other video page — in one click.

The extension's data practices are intentionally narrow:

• What it reads: the URL of your current browser tab — and only at the moment you click the extension's button or its toolbar icon, never automatically or in the background.
• What it does with that URL: opens a VizSurge page with that URL attached, so a watch party can be created from it.
• What it does not do: it does not read the content of any page, does not access or store your browsing history, does not collect analytics, and does not transmit any data anywhere other than the one VizSurge page it opens.

No account information, video content, or page data is collected, stored, or shared by the extension. Removing the extension stops all of the above immediately, since it holds no data to retain.

7. Data Retention
